Poised and powerful.
Slow, effective build-up and strong finish. Fun to listen to. You did a good job with the different orchestral instruments. Nice sense of drama.

nice cinematic build...
I like the lyrical build of this, good use of brasses & strings. Strong
without getting muddy. Even with Jampack 4, you have to be careful with
the picky brass sections, and do some tailoring/skewing of instrument
volume curves to make it sound natural. There were a couple places
where all the brasses stopped at the same time and it sounded synthetic.
That's about the only critique I can come up with, other than wanting this
to have a "real" melody in there somewhere and to lengthen it... this was
too short! :-)

Cheers....
Thanks for the comments.....I was thinking of maybe lengthening it, but as a
film cue for the arrival of an army it couldn't really be much longer than it is. I
might do some variations of the theme though.....that would be fun!

Dramatic
Nice! Definitely possesses a sense of drama and would likely raise goosebumps among the audience in conjunction with the onscreen arrival of the army to save the day.

Nicely done
Cool beans, synthetic horns annoy me a bit but nothing can be done really. Very well put together and a great rise, feel like you might even be able to make more out of the rise though? Good job!

Yeah, most of the comments I have been getting from people about it is to make the opening longer to create more tension.....

And yeah.....for some reason horns are the hardest thing to try and replicate on the computer. Trumpets are always the worst sounding, so I don't really want to use them much. Low horns can sound ok tho, if they are mixed right. Check out the gladiator waltz demo that Hans Zimmer did on the More music from Gladiator cd.....it's amazing, and that was YEARS ago.....

I may go back and rework the track at some point, tho I have too many ideas for other tracks at the moment.....so.....on with those first. It's all a learning experience....
