Unusually great OK Pongo... so you must have listened to some Japanese classical/folk music? There are parts of this that sound like they're right off some old LPs I bought over there of old folk songs, classical-Japanese, and old Kabuki-play recordings... and then you wander into blues and other areas... this is very cool! The koto (the plucked "bendy" string instrument at the beginning) sounds great... your switch to other melodies (like the sing-song folk march at the end) is nice, keeps the interest throughout. So, I would be very interested in a couple things if you have time to answer... #1 - What were your influences, did you hear this kind of music elsewhere, and if so, where? and #2 - DId you use any Jampack loops? I would love to see you fill out a little more information in your description. This must have taken a long time to put together! It is great fun to listen to. Crisp clean recording, except for the fuzzy distortion Ejh noticed on the left side near the beginning. ttfn, Drakonis Check out my latest song called Lullaby for the Inner Child

Digging this! Dude I'm really digging this! There is that distortion or over modulation. But the blend of styles is really interesting. It goes from dark eastern tones to making me want to dance a jig. I actually listened twice! peace, r Check out my latest song called Back and Forth

I like the bends on whatever the stringed instrument is. The percussion is
neat; I can imagine the percussionist sitting amidst a number of
instruments, and changing up... In the first half, I am getting a whisper of
distortion in the left channel, and I can't tell if it's the recording being a
little "hot", or if, I don't know, maybe I blew out my headphones already....
Reminds me of the Cooder/Bhatt Meeting By The River CD, a bit...
Really lands in that broad plain between the delta blues and raga...
