Description:
The piano track started as an improvisation, which I recorded over a month ago and set aside. The chorus "what I was missing" always seemed to fit there, and finally I came up with the rest of the lyrics.

A bit blue....

Lyrics:
Beginnings and endings are part of a lifetime
With endings the hardest part of all.
I watched you drift slowly at first,
Then completely.
I felt your cool distance
In words that you'd say.

And sometimes I wondered
What I was missing
You never did open that part of yourself.
Always a way to conveniently falter
Always the chance to slip away,
Slip away.

Beginnings and endings are part of ourselves
And saying good-bye was right for me.
But sometimes I wonder what I was missing
I never felt that way....
All of my life....what I was missing.

Always I see the road ahead
With one foot in front
And the other in its stead,
And you won't find me looking back...
Asking what I was missing,
What I was missing.
