Part Time Lover

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
A straight Chicago Blues, in honor of one of those Rites of Passage we all go through.

This is the "Mule" for a Collab with, I believe, 100 percent, "Help from my "Friends". But this is how it starts out.

Predominant guitar influence: MR. Elvin Bishop.

Best Regards,
Cooper

Lyrics
Part Time Lover

Used to Love You
Bey-Be
Big as the Sky

Used to Love You
Bey-Be
But I’m Forgetin’
Just Why

I Heard that You got Yourself a
Part Time Lover

- Do Tell
[Yeah]

Well, it’s Hard for me to see,

I guess that Part Time Lover was
Me
[Yeah]

Heard about It
On the Street
They’re All
Talkin’, Ya Know

Heard It from the Pretty Women sayin’, Let’s Go,
What You waitin’ Here For?

Listen Here, Baby

I Know You do
What You’re gonna Do
[Yeah]

But, from Right Now, Baby, I got a
A Part Time Lover

And Baby It’s
You.
[Yeah]

I’m Not thinkin’
What You’re Thinkin’
Not Feelin’
What You Feel

You can Lose my Number
Now, Baby
You Lost Your
Drivin’ Wheel.

You Better Keep Um
Guessin’, Right Now
You Better Keep Um
Guessin’ on The Street

Don’t You be
Guessin’ bout where you’re Strong
Cause They Already Know
Where You’re Weak

Have Yourself a Time
Doin’ Up the Town

You’ll Be Lookin’

For Your Heart
Again, Baby

In the Lost and Found.

Bey-be
Extra bluesy and a little run down... I don't drink, but if I did I'd be drunk by the end of the song. Those leads are just perfect. Excellent work here, rt!

Creeking But Not Cracked
Boy - Need a DRUMMER. Yep. Need a KIT Guy, Man. I found a Cool Studio five
miles from here; full-on Gig. Can Mic a Whole Kit. I contacted two Guys,
immediately - they BOTH want to play Fleetwood Mack. I'M Not FLEETWOOD,
though, Don't Ya Know?
Thanks A Lot for the Crit, Brother. Always like
hearing from You.
Very Best Regards,
Cooper

Folkies And The Blues
You Know, I've always played a lot of Dylan songs as Blues, as he does now, in
person, with the Road Band. Not quite MR. J. Hendrix (WATCHTOWER), mind
you, but minus his (Dylan's) double Shuffle, many works come around
Blue.
Thank You for the Crit. Never know what you're going to come with -
you demonstrate a Broad Range, Brother.
Very Best,
Cooper

Swings,
raunchy and sweet. The guitar sounds great, in both tracks. Dead on
with the blues lyrics and I dig your vocal style. You got that strat
screamin' in the riffs.

2am
I've just been listening to Dylan's "Modern World" and this fits nicely into the vibe. Love your Strat sound Coop, and vocals don't get much more raw than this. Feels like 2am in a bar when I hear this. The last 12 bars or so remind me of Politician by Cream.
Thanks for this one Coop.

GOT IT GOIN' ON
You've Got A Whole Bunch Goin' On, Already! That VOCAL, for instance - (when you can't sing a lick, That's when you get to asking the Strat to Help you Out, over here.)

Just played through "Selfish" (starts in G#m, key of B, No?) to find a supporting Descant Gtr part. Also, threw an AU Filter into the Master Trx (of the AIF imported into GB), to give you more Air/Lift above 5K Htz. Your Voice SOARS delicately in the offset to the 650 Htz boost of 1.5 dB.

It's lovely, really, and somehow reminds me of one of my favorite bands as I play along (that is The Band, Robbie Robertson and the Boys); pulls the Heart Strings on me!

Say, thank you for the Crit (as well as for Selfish, your recent gift to the Site).

With Best Regards,

Cooper

enjoyed the loosy goosy bluesee mode here. thinkin your vocal style is pretty perfect for this. lyrics deserve some attention - great job of thinkin/guessin - weak/strong, etc. solo good n crunchy - just like i like it. ;) nice little bundle of sound, cooper. LIKE IT. anne
