Description:
A rework of my 911 anthem using reFX software guitar tones. Looking for vocals on this one - have worked out the lyrics and melody (the vocal line is filled by the lead guitar in this version)

Lyrics:
Eyes shut to things that seem unreal
With hearts pierced these wounds are so slow to heal (we’re bleeding)
Doors lock so nothing can get in
At which point we can’t tell foe from friend
Because we’re hurting and hardened

When we lose all hope, we cannot cope and we cry
To succumb to fear is to disappear and die
Let love fill the void that’s deep inside and we’ll thrive

Wake up and set your spirit free
A vision of stunning simplicity (we need you)
Unity, behold the strength of One
We stand tall and we shall overcome
And emerge from the shadows

Turn your back on grief before it bleeds you dry
Face the enemy – adversity and lies
Victory is ours it’s time to dry these eyes

Through the fire
I reach for your hand
United by love
Divided we fall
Together we stand

Everything in this tune was written in MIDI and imported into GB. I used mostly stock GB sounds, including the drums. I can send you my drums settings if you want. Thanks for the listen.

You called this "midi cheese rock" in chat, but there really isn't anything in the composition that is cheesy. The riffs have a 70s guitar rock style, but the inflection of live a guitarist would quicky eliminate the naturally uptight character of the midi and turn your riffs into a cheese-less groove.

The percussion track is dynamite, though again a bit rigid. A few slightly early or late beats, well-placed, might add to its impact. You could also try adding some rattle to the drums or swapping some pieces out for instrumements that have a more hollow ring to them to loosen things up (more harmonics and sustains). I really like the double kick pattern at the end!

The mix itself really good. Your separation could even be loosened up as a bit of grunge is completely appropriate to the genre.

This is a tight rock anthem that deserves some adrenaline-amped vocals!
