Description:
I recorded a bunch of practice tracks for my show, so i could memorize lyrics. This was one of the better ones.

Nice demo-draft. I dig the rhymes, the style. I always enjoy the misdirection song, that you think is about one thing, but turns out to be driven by a relationship. This has epic and intimate, as well as poetic and personal, woven together really nicely. It would be great to hear it produced a little better. By the way, what do you mean "your show"? Are you working on a stage musical, or a singer-songwriter performance. [ Reply to This ]

Unique enjoyable song... great strong/fragile voice and nice control in those little arpeggiated sung notes. Really nice piano playing too. This is pretty good for a practice session! Thanks for posting a peek behind the scenes! Glad to hear your performance went well, I can see why :-)

The piano playing is really cool... this is such a fine example of piano and voice each reinforcing the other and making the other better. Because of the synchrony in mood and inflection. Very nice. [ Reply to This ]

And you've got a touch of Kate Bush in your performance here, I think. I agree with Alannah that this begs to be remixed, to bring your voice to the forefront. I can also hear an orchestra behind it, but it's definitely not needed...your song just inspires some mental improvisation. :-) [ Reply to This ]
