Description:
recorded in one take on reel to reel 4 trk 1980.
Lyrics:
luis is standing in the field stand back stand back
the maya worship the wheel
for the body to be strong
and now it is so cold
i got it all put on
i got my hand shaked off
by a girl that slaps me in the face
all that is past yak yak yak yak
think ahead and laugh yak yak
disintegrations so fast

Plus sa change, plus le meme chose - JOAN wrought from rib of mudmen. This sounds as fresh today as the day it was born. Expect to hear a tune with sampled mudmen drums (hey that's not a bad idea). Thanks for takin me back. [ Reply to This ]
Sounds New &mdash 11/02/06 - 01:21:23 PM
This is great! Truly timeless. It sounds like it was recorded today in that new lo-fi way, but it is real lo-fi. Awsome! [ Reply to This ]

I Wanna Go Su-su-su-surfin' &mdash 11/02/06 - 08:10:23 PM
Man, cools sounds from the way-back machine. I hear hints of the Ramones, a bit of Tom Verlaine in the voice - very Good.
More Mudmen, please. [ Reply to This ]

Unique &mdash 11/05/06 - 08:30:17 AM
Great stuff, Television meets the birthday party in a mud wrestling contest. Grrreta drums and bass playing, and a short sharp structure.
I got my hand shaked off indeed.

killing joke &mdash 11/10/06 - 10:16:46 AM
another great track. echos of the Bunnymen and also Killing Joke's early stuff like Wardance etc. especially the bass. Hey, I can here the jangly guitar on this one! Brilliant. time to reform? especially with bands around now like The Rapture and Franz Ferdinand who are definitely influenced by this Gang of Four attacking sound. Good work. Is there more?
