This does sound very urban......the continuous..ness.......rentlessness.....endless activity.....it has a nice beat, but when the end comes and it stops, it says just as much..... like suddenly it is quiet and dark and there is a star twinkling above.

i'm walking the sidewalk at night - the heat is rising up off the street - the sky glows yellow above the flashing lights all around me - glance behind: what was that? - it's gone now - keep on walking - that girl in the coffee shop looked at me - do i know her? - keep on - odd, there haven't any cars going by in the past few minutes - even for 4 AM that is, odd - now the sky looks blue - and i hear a garbage truck a few blocks away - ah well, it was nice - while it lasted
