Sitar jam
Where's George Harrison when you need him. This is a different atmosphere to play that in, but it works well. The very American english vocal adds yet another twist, very interesting and enjoyable.

Yeah!
I remember the ISB and you have nailed their sound and spirit. Very cool. I too thought of the late George Harrison (my favorite Beatle). I miss the occasional intrusion of Indian rhythms and instrumentation in rock and folk-rock. As the ending faded in I wanted to scream out: "Strawberry Fields Forever!" Excellent tuneage Bud.

Be well friend!

Strawberry fields -
Cool observation - I hadn't thought about that - but you're right. As for the the ISB - I have a confession to make - the reason I captured them is because I sampled them - which I guess is against the rules here - but I couldn't help myself. I built a rhythm bed first and then I wondered what ISB would sound like in the mix - and the rest is shameful history. I hope I haven't fallen to the depths of depravity in your eyes.

Sometimes a jammer's gotta do what a jammer's gotta do. Check out Joe Boyd's (ISB, Nick Drake, Fairport, etc. producer) new autobiography White Bicycles - it's an import through Amazon. A great read.

flipped out
this is fun to play a listening game: you can make yourself hear the repeating bass note as either on the beat, or off the beat. it kind of flips like a Neckar cube. way cool!

not intentional
but I am attraccted to the upstroke feel of reggae and sometimes it creeps into my music. Is that kinda what you're hearing. No way I can really play reggae - I consider it one of the toughest music forms to master. I've had this idea for a while now with no way to do it - but you may be the perfect person to pull this off. I wanna hear a dub reggae version of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos or maybe The St. Matthew Passion. Whaddya think Smokey? Radiodread (a must hear) got me thinkin this way.
