Description
This song is called "Wasteland" because that is what all the different pitches played in the piece are supposed to represent. Just think of the most depressing state of mind, where everything drags on for longer than it should, and yet you are still kind of in a fog, floating around aimlessly with no purpose or direction, and in the end you return to yourself, your mind, which in a depressed state, becomes a wasteland.

Tips for listening: Good quality speakers, or headphones to pick up all the frequencies

This is nicely thoughtful...
With nice tones and phrasing...

Reminding me just a bit of Michael Manring....

I really like it...

I am so bad...
...at the whole free mp3 thing... and I don't have any of his solo stuff myself...

For the longest time, and maybe even still, Michael Manring was the official or unofficial bass player for many of the Windham Hill recording artists, including Michael Hedges...

You can definitely go on iTunes and listen to some of the 30 second snippets under 'Michael Manring', just to get an idea...

Mexican Jazz Bass?
That sounds like an interesting instrument! It definitely has a nice round and buttery sound to it. I like that alot. I love your description of this song. It definitely fits the melody and mood. Great work and composition!
