But something really isn't working. I think its a magnetic fourth. You see, at the end of the first half of each verse the harmony hangs onto the 5th chord, but the melody is singing the tonic. The tonic is actually the 4th of the 5 chord. Specifically, its an E up against a B chord (B D F). Or, more simply, the melody is thinking I chord, while the harmony's thinking V chord. So, just have the melody go up to an F or down to a D and things will sound much better.
If not for that irksome detail (IMHO) you very nearly pulled this off.
