Piano (606)guitar (880)acoustic (477)waltz (33)song (193)
Description:
I wrote this years ago on guitar but only recorded it recently. I still might change certain things - form/some words, but this is it as is. My younger brother is on violin.

Lyrics:
I remember you told me long ago
why it was you wanted me,
Long ago you told me and I remember
why it was you wanted me,
wanted me all to yourself.

I've taken you and now it feels
like you're in control of me and you and
hope, fate and destiny,
you make me think
and I don't think you're good for me no...

You have numbed my senses, the only thing
that I can feel is you,
breaking my defenses and threatening
the threat that i'm losin' you,
you turn me into myself

I've taken you...

You have numbed my senses...

I've taken you...

chord progression and melody...Really smooth with a classic romantic feel ...the piano and violin accompaniment sound lovely and are particularly well suited to this piece... more so then the guitar I think. Great song!

Thanks for the nice comments, yeh vocals probably need to come up Vic - i'd just rather have a good female voice on it than mine I think...
and you're right Philonnie, maybe there should be no guitar atall, I don't know.

Charming &mdash 01/18/07 - 12:44:56 PM
Wonderful song, smoothly and floatingly conceived. I love the piano and violin, the light strumming. The whole thing sounds like it was casually recorded in the not the best conditions (too much room, vocals especially). Consider redoing the vocals, making them more intimate, immediate, closer. This is a wonderfully charming song.
