Description:
No sooner had I finished recording the vox for "Silver Screen," then Steve came up with another track for our Day For Night collaboration...

(how do you do that, Steve!?)

Another doomy-gloomy track in the theme "Hollywood Cinema" about two kids on the wrong side of the law.

Lyrics:
Well I got me a job
and it should go down
that fat little bank
on the outskirts of town

And if that's what it takes
then that's what it takes alright

you got play cool
you gotta act sweet
they won't see it coming
and we won't catch heat

And if that's what it takes
then that's what it takes alright

You' ain't no movie star
but here's a chance to shine with me

And when we get back
we're gonna sit tight
for a coupla weeks
till the time is right

Don't give me that look
its gonna be fine
I know what I'm doing
this ain't too much of a crime

The Steve and Mysti show! &mdash 11/12/06 - 03:40:28 AM
Lovely harmonies! Interesting song. Your voices and Steve's guitars make a very different combination, and work so well together. The mix and production are excellent. Mysti, I really like your voice in this context - somehow the discipline of the "song" format raises the impact of your lovely vocals. Maybe I just prefer this genre to ambient and new age music.

I don't know anything about music but this sounds great. Voices work really well together. Amazing talent here IMHO.

Such a great combination &mdash 11/13/06 - 03:29:35 AM
Did I ever mention what a great combination of voices you two are!
The passages where you sing the lyrics together are fabulous.

The backing could have benifited from a deeper and more distinct bass. Is that a guitar playing the bass? (or maybe i is not meant to be a bass)? Anyway to my taste that track could easily be discarded, it is kind of off the feel of the rest of the tune.

The vocals are fabulous! I am a great fan.

Nice grove &mdash 11/17/06 - 11:37:37 AM
Steve's voice reminded me slightly of the singer from Crash Test Dummies, not a bad thing. Very nice harmonies. You two work well together. Great work
