Description:
A basic rock jam. All instruments played live by me without any further editing except drums; I played the drums but did time-correcting to get them tight. The use of electric piano and organ give this song something of a classic rock feel that I wasn't really going for originally, but I pretty much just went with it.

If you hated this song, you'll probably equally dislike:

  • Forgotten

  • Drive

  • Brownsville Moan (Gudkarma Collab)

  • The Journey

  • Farrocchia

  • but you might hate these slightly less:

  • October Original

  • October Bliss

  • Saturday Play

  • Felice

  • Hardware:
Ensoniq Mirage (for all electric guitar sound), TiBook 1GHz

    Software:
    GB 1.1

    Nicely constructed &mdash 07/24/04 - 03:29:54 PM
Nicely constructed. Will you put some vocals on the top at
some point to give it something compelling? 5-7-5-5

Can you sing? Wanna try? I'll turn this into a collaboration in heartbeat. :)

    Vocal collaboration &mdash 07/25/04 - 07:29:51 AM
Thanks, but I'm not a singer - as you will find if you listen to any of my
tracks. However there are plenty of vocalists on this site that are always on
the lookout for someone's tune they can sing over the top of. If you're
serious, maybe start a forum thread called 'Vocalist/lyricist wanted' and
include a link to your track.

Rock and Roll that satisfies &mdash 07/25/04 - 07:16:20 PM
This is a pretty well balanced mix that creates a smooth
jazzy soundscape. The ending is too abrupt, however. I'll
have to do some research on the Ensoniq Mirage - sounds
    great!

    Nice playing... &mdash 07/26/04 - 06:27:15 PM
I'm not familiar with Ensoniq Mirage, but I see that
it's a keyboard you used to produced that guitar
sound. The technique is great, I had to do a web
search to make sure it was a keyboard.

Rocky to the Whammy Maxx! &mdash 07/28/04 - 12:33:46 AM
WHoa! Keytar! Keytar! Like, for real! Keytar to the whammy
bar, keytar maxx! Yo! I had this idea, I think it was actually
Ringo's idea, or Alimar's or somebody, that we need to
start a band... of like 6 dudes, and each of us play like at
    least one keytar each!

You could be the leader/captain/lieutenant of the Keytar
band! You want in? You have to want to want it! Sweet and
radical solos remind me of awesomeness.

    Great jamming &mdash 08/01/04 - 09:34:28 AM
Interesting twist on the last chord of the progression. The
organ and especially elec piano sound is very nice, I like
when the organ makes itself known and then glisses out.
the drums are kind of low in the mix. But the energy is
    wonderful. Great jamming.
