Description
This is the first song I ever finished writing. I have a horrible tendency to start something, agonize over it and never say that its done.
I wrote it during the break-up with my ex-wife about 4 years ago. I played it live in different (easier) key. . .

Lyrics
Grey clouds that hold only
Flowers and broken glass
Behind a garden wall
We wait for souls to pass
Lurking in the shadows
Only lit by candlelight
We search by moonbeams
That pierce the broken night
How can life compare?
How can life compare?
To this dream - a lonely world
Dim lanterns in trees
Hang with moss and catch my eye
Ride on the carousel and watch
The falling sky . . . .
And now we wake but on the brink
of dreams the time before we think
How can life compare?
Flowers and broken glass
Behind a garden wall
We wait for souls to pass
Lurking in the shadows
Only lit by candlelight
We search by moonbeams
That pierce the broken night
How can life compare?
How can life compare?
To this dream - a lonely world
Dim lanterns in trees
Hang with moss and catch my eye
Ride on the carousel and watch
The falling sky . . . .
And now we wake but on the brink
of dreams the time before we think
How can life compare?

Good music, but the vocals are somewhat quiet in certain places. Good job though overall! :)
