Explain to us all &mdash 11/15/06 - 08:05:07 PM
Please explain, Bill. Do you just go into the studio and say "I think I'll record some Mozart today" and then walk in the next day and say "I think I'll write an original piece today. How do you have anytime to sleep?

Whatever you do ... keep doing it. I always take a little "gentle trip" whenever I listen to something you have done.

The real important &mdash 11/15/06 - 08:54:15 PM
thing for me is if it's got a grabby hook and flow to it :0
I don't really care how hard it is, but if it isn't catchy It is not fun for me. I have to really hear it. I was born with "hit" itus. When I was young, the neatest thing I ever experienced was hearing friends and what not play the top tunes. If it was an Elvis tune or a Percy Faith tune like "Theme From A Summers Place" it didn't matter if it was rock or classic I LOVED a hit. As I get older I am gravitation away from hard drumming, I am loving pure lasting melodies.

So as long as its ultra catchy, it's a lot easier for me to have fun with it. I would not be good at having to play something that doesn't move me.

So, if it's something that yell's out at me, wanting me to learn, I'll sometimes play and record up into the very, very late hours and early morning.

I think I also suffer from lack of enodorifins and I really need almost at the point of desperation sweet beautiful music so I don't have to use medications. I used to be on sleeping pills for a year cause I couldn't sleep. But I found out that didn't work very good at all. Because of my insomnia, I 've even get up very early, like this morning at 4 am to play Betsy my Santa Cruz om/pw acoustical guitar.

I love the filling of well being when I've had fun making a tune that others enjoy.

So that really gets me wanting to produce music.

Life is short &mdash 11/15/06 - 09:14:40 PM
keep making it good for yourself ... and for us too!!!

Hey, you hit on some of my favorites even Mancini and Faith. I worked for a while at a radio station that had a "beautiful music" FM. Whenever I wanted to get away for a while, I would go into the studio to recored some more tapes for the automation system from our vast library. It was a secondary education for me in a totally different kind of music.

Mozart makes such beautiful music that it is hard to not want to pay homage to him.

Hey Bill &mdash 11/16/06 - 04:16:10 PM
This is a wonderful piece. It would take great O's to think that one could dedicate a piece to Mozart. But to think that one could, and then pull it off as beautiful as this - Well... Lets just say that, 'I'm afraid of you'... - But I love your music. Thanks! Dion

As ever, your playing is impeccable and your take on a classic is perfectly lovely. I knew that anything by you with Mozart in the title had to be good and I was right. :)

Mozart and I have the same birthday. Despite my efforts to the contrary, thats pretty much where the similarities end. Nice song.

Thought I'd NEVER want to hear this again. &mdash 11/22/06 - 01:57:31 PM
Thank you for proving me wrong! I like the judicious use of strings; they don't overshadow your playing, which as always is the star of your piece.

This is a popular piece &mdash 11/28/06 - 10:37:07 PM
yet you took it and made it your own. The guitar is great as always, but I think the strings are a nice addition.
