She's Amanda Rose, my light at night
She's my inspiration. I think she's outta sight
Amanda Rose! Ah, don't you go
I want you here right by my side
To be with me 'till the day I die. Amanda Rose
The first time I saw her she had on that dress
The one that made me blow my top. I fell apart, I must confess
Amanda Rose. Ah, don't you know
I think she put a spell on me
Ran my heart right up a tree. Amanda Rose
Now, if you ever leave be, babe, I don't know what I'll do
I might just crawl inside a cave to be alone with The Blues
Amanda Rose. Ah, I sure love you! Yes I do
You are to me my daily breath
Without you life would just be death. Amanda Rose

With great production and tasty chops all over the place.
Nothing to suggest to improve this one.

really groovy stuff here. I like the blues feel to whole thing. Fran is right on the guit-go. The mix is swell. You have a really good voice and Amanda on those backings adds a really nice touch. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for listening, Tex. Much appreciated.

.. this is neat stuff .. dig those bluesy tones and chops Fran .. great
singing and those ever so smooth backing vocals just top this off
nicely. Kudos. Love to hear this live .. bit of a brass section and more
, more more backing singers.
bug67
Every time I hear this, I hear a horn section. Might make a nice addition. I had a bunch of stuff in it at one time and it just muddied it up. I think, for now, I'll just keep it simple.

to get the full effect... has a cookin' live feel.. the production puts us right in the front row... great singing and song... and of course when you throw Fran in the mix... you'de better give him some room... the real drummer really laid this down for you guys too... it's all about the feel
caroline
great work here - well done all of you - a fav and a d/l - tyvm xoxox

Nice one Dave - a solid performance all round - who's that guitarist again? Farn or something? He's OK I guess :) Good vocals and playing from your good self as well.
Great all round city blues as someone has already said - maybe Amanda's vox could be up a bit, but sounds good as is. Only thing I'd change (if I had that magic wand) would be to boost the overall volume and dynamics, but hey, I can just turn up the stereo!
Looking forward to some more AK rock.

Haven't quite figured out how to get the volume up in Digital Performer without hitting the limits. But, like you said, just turn it up! :)

I was afraid to do too much with your guitar track. I did agree that it was a bit too hot in the first go around so, I took it down a notch or two, added some compression, and eq'd to bring out some of the lower end. all very minor tweeks. I think it sits much better in the mix now. Thank you for your time. :)

1st off, thanks for commenting on my latest song... I understand how you feel about the ending... I guess I was avoiding the fade out :)... now, your song....
I like the groove you got going here. It's catchy, the lyrics are easily relatable, reminds me of Doobie Brothers or something of that time... (afraid my musical knowledge isn't great in that department, though I like the style). The only thing I can comment on is a couple of the drum fills didn't feel tight in the interchange. Felt like you got caught up in something for a second. Isn't a huge problem, but just something I noticed. Otherwise, it's awesome :).
bug67
Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to smack that darn drummer with his own darn sticks! :)

This was a lot of fun to do. Glad I was able to work with such great talent as Amanda and Fran.

Great job with recording such a great live sounding track. A lot like the early 70's sound going on here. I really like this!
bug67
Glad you stopped by. Glad people still listen to this after all this time. Thanks.

This is nice. Smooth from start to finish, a classic.
Don't know what to remark that could add anything to all that is said above; just a great tune on this combination you all have.

You one lucky guy! Great guitar.BTW, nice bike.
Keep 'em comin' dude. Like the cowboy song too.

I always love it when a song has been kinda "inactive" for a while and gets an out of the blue listen.

Has a real gritty ARS type thang happen'n. Very authentic blues'ey track Scorchin guitar work, and your vocals work it perfectly. Tasty backup as well.
Shimky
I see you don't just have the guitars - you can play them too! :O) ...and you can sing. Great song - great backing vocals. The drums sound real - are they?
bug67
The drums are real. I have a friend I used to be in a band with that plays for me. Lead guitar is done by ziti. Backing vocal by Amanda Chapman. Everything else is me.
---
a great classic rock southern rockin blues track! love it. what else is there to say? just a fantastic song!
Norman Goodman
Harmony vocals are excellent in this version. Lead fills although well played by a competant player are a little overdone... nice solo though. Lead vocal on this version is excellent. Excellent song!!!!!!!
bug67
Thanks for taking the time to listen and compare both versions. Yes, this was to be the final version. Amanda's vocal on this is outstanding as usual. She's done work for me on several of my songs and the results always floor me.
Funny you should mention the lead guitar as being a bit much for this version. I remember having to ask Fran to submit a re-do for this as his first version was WAY over the top. He generously obliged, however. I love the tone he gets out that POD. I certainly haven't figured out how he does it.

And this is just exactly that. A really good blues song.
Loved everything about it but the mix.
Bass was to hot for my tastes and the vocals just a little bit to far back in the mix.
Mind you it still sounded great and got the blood pumping, but there you have it.
Great lyrics and your delivery was superb as were the guitar chops.
Keep on keeping on, this is a keeper for me until you do a remix, and then I'll grab that one
Thanks for sharing this one.

Kind of sounds a little like Cream or the YardBirds going on in this one. Nice tight Blues number, good lyrics, great singing, Great rhythm tracks backing it all up, and Ziti's guitar is smokin' hot on the lead fills. Just gonna have to download this one Bug, Thanks for sharing.
Keep it up man, you've got it workin'
