WOW. &mdash 11/18/06 - 07:38:20 PM
The picture matches this song perfectly. I love the bolt of lightening throughout the song. It's a perfect touch!!

Big sound... &mdash 11/18/06 - 07:40:49 PM
Towards the middle it reminded me a little bit of Pink Floyd. Your style is different from David Gilmour, but you've accomplished that same warmth and richness of tone on the guitar. I really liked it, it could've gone a little bit longer. The over all sound is deep and dimensional, I love the rain/thunder effects, they compliment well without distracting. So, now that you've given us the teaser, let us have the full length feature! Nice work.

Really &mdash 11/18/06 - 07:44:06 PM
interesting to hear the nature mixture with the music and how well the lead guitar mix's in. That ending is very interesting as well.

Glad I ran into to this.

Thanks for posting Darren !

Sweet, Sweet Sound &mdash 11/18/06 - 07:48:33 PM
Great tone on the guitar, the solo is very good, and what you built around it complements it really well. Very creative. That synth you bring in really adds some tension and the storm effects round it out nicely. NIce to hear something new from you.

I love &mdash 11/19/06 - 11:37:39 AM
when a song evolves the way this one did one when one thing leads to the next and the experimenting begins Sometimes the best music comes from no plan at all

Loved it &mdash 11/19/06 - 11:38:53 AM
Cool ambience to start. Lead snakes it's way in there. Sounding real bold. Thunder drums. Woot! Excellent tone on the guitar, very expressive. Nice drone on the bottom. Guitar control is excellent! Guitar shreds and explodes!! Very cool!!

I LOVE that guitar!
The intro is wonderful. I love that slow build up into the most awesome sound of the guitar. I want it to evolve into some full blown Rawking
track,..heheh but as it is, this is just GREAT!

Nice one!

Excellent! &mdash 11/19/06 - 08:42:36 PM
I am getting to the point that every time I hear something recorded with a Line 6 product, I think that's the way I need to go.

This was very well done. Loved the production. Loved the sound FX mixed in. Reminded me of some David Gilmore/Pink Floyd type stuff. Very enjoyable.

i'm gonna agree with all the raves about the tone & comparisons to gilmore-great job on the subtle additions as well. there is a very complimentary mood created by all of the parts & pieces. it's short & schweet.. i'd love to hear the next track!!!

cool! &mdash 11/21/06 - 11:07:55 AM
Somehow, the way you express your musical ideas helps me to appreciate this kind of music (rock) more than I usually would.

You've created a very interesting soundscape and mood here. I like the background sound effects which thread through the entire piece, creating necessary tension and consistency.

Your guitar playing is excellent and the way you treated it in the mix here is ethereal and moody.

As I heard said by a pretty blond waitress at a pub in Vancouver, "Yah, PERFECT!"

Big, bold, dark and beautiful. Wish it had been longer.

nice &mdash 11/24/06 - 12:03:28 PM
Parts are very reminescent of the intro to Brothers in Arms where Mark Knopfler does a lot of partial pinch harmonics. I liked how you employed the vibrato artificial harmonics without going too nasty with them.

There is also a tad of an Adam Jones feel in there too.

Really nice soundscape. Just well done overall.

Neuromancer &mdash 02/01/07 - 02:42:01 PM
Thanks for sharing this vivid dramatic moment. It is so great that you'd take the time to hone your skills, focus your talent, and come out with this slice of emotion piece. I really like the stormy night and car horn additions. Digital rain... like something from the pages of Neuromancer.
