Hello Flo,
i allready liked your song Paarden a lot...but this one is different.
In this song i hear a girl near to be a young woman with a big talent in vocalising. What i really find astonishing is the way how you build up your songs. You really know what you do and its listenable...You will find here for sure a lot of positive comments in cause of great work...stay on your way! You are great!

Very pretty...
and a nice song too! You have a great ear for harmony, and you have a very good voice for singing it too. The sparkly arpeggio-synth background was really fun, and you had it fade away in the middle, and come back so it did not get boring. I will play this for my daughter so that she can be inspired by you. She will get her own computer and Garageband for Christmas, so maybe you two can compare "notes" soon! She has one silly thing here... look for "Sara's Intro" on my music page.

Good ear!
Very impressive Flo - you have an excellent ear for harmonies and what works in a song. This is very different to Paarden, but is equally interesting. You might find a German singer by the name of Barbara Morgenstern very interesting to listen to - she does some amazing things with synths and her voice.
Excellent post - and a formal "Welcome to MacJams" now that you have your own bio page.

Only song so far
that I wanted to download this morning.
This song would be good for someone twice your age.
I do not understand what you are singing (I am limited to English with a little French & Italian), but your words and inflection fit your melody well.
The instrumentation and song structure are very good.
I also like that you did not over-emote when you sang. In my opinion, too many singers sing everything as though they won a billion dollars in the lottery or their dog just died (like Whitney Houston or Michael Bolton). In pleasant contrast, your voice is cool and controlled and reminds me of Stereolab.
The "MM-MM-MM-MM" and "oh yeah" are good hooks and your vocal harmonies throughout are pleasantly infectious.

Very nice
My own daughter is also 11 years old, and writes songs, but she is too shy to even share them with me. I'm glad that you enjoy singing them and sharing them here at MacJams. I think you can tell from all of the comments that many of the artists here enjoy your work and that you have a lot of potential. Did you do all of the instrumentals by yourself? They are really pleasant, as are your vocal harmonies.

Remarkable!
hi Flo! You did a beautiful job with your father on 'Reverie'! This song has a different "flavor" than 'Paarden' (which I really enjoyed, too!). Your voice has such life that it seems to float among the sweeping arpeggios of the synthesizer loops. Your ability to harmonize is pretty well developed for your age. You have alot of natural ability! Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more! I'm a fan! :-)

What can I say to this? The vocal harmonies are better than a lot of professionals. They lyrics are perfectly constructed, even if I can't understand the words. The synth parts are cool and well-developed. Wow, I wish I could write a song like this. I usually do heavy metal, but maybe I'll try doing something like this. It would be a good stretch for me.

Translated.
This is the fourth or fifth time I've listened to this song in the last half hour. I never do that. I don't know any Flemmish, but I used to know a little Dutch. I thought the song was about loving music, but that was all I could tell. I'm not familiar enough with the words to know what they mean, but I do know enough to be able to understand the sounds of the words and to appreciate the way they are put together. I couldn't find an online Flemmish translator, so I put the lyrics in a Dutch translator. It was a very poor translation, but it gave me a basic understanding of what this song is about. Very well written.
