Description:
I wrote this song in the early 90's as a tribute
to John F Kennedy and the conspirecy that followed his untimely death.but it is also a tribute to Robert F Kennedy and Martin Luther King. Three events that changed our country forever.I was 3 at the time and remember watching the funeral on TV.

I am playing rythem and wah fills and main vocals.
John(texas Feel)is playing the leads,bass,rythem and backing vocals.

a speacial thanks to John(Texas Feel)for his exceptional backing vocals and guitar leads and bass for which this song could not have been possible without it.and for his input on the arrangement of the song.

Lyrics:
Camelot

Standing Disbelieving
Panic lingers in the air
Silence and confusion
People crying everywhere
{Chorus}
A day forever in our minds
The day our hopes and dreams died
The day our innocence was lost
With Camelot
{Short Solo}
Starring with blank faces
At the writing on the wall
Thoughts accelerating
Justice is blind after all
{Chorus}
The truth is carefully hidden
And unknown to us now
The facts insanely twisted
Lies are all that we know now
{Chorus}

Emotive &mdash 11/22/06 - 02:39:44 PM
A very well written song, with chords that flow really nicely - some really good guitar here - a good sense of the emotions in the lyrics come through in the mood of the music.

Timely &mdash 11/22/06 - 10:28:45 PM
Today (Nov 22) is the anniversary of that terrible day when President Kennedy was shot. Your song is a nice tribute to the memory of all three of these great men. I'm not sure I believe in all the conspiracy theories but I do agree a lot of the truth has escaped us in the death of all three men. It's terrible that in that decade when we needed great leaders there were fools with guns who stole them from us.
But, sorry, back to the song: Cool music, insiteful lyrics, nice leads and singing. Good job all around.

talk about timing &mdash 11/23/06 - 10:18:16 PM
when i started working on this it never ocurred to me that the aniversary was near till right before i posted it.the conspirecy theory is interesting one more thing well never know.the 60s were a trying time.and the age the counrty's innocence changed a time when we realized that everything wasn't all peaches and cream.
thanks for the nice digs

From the first chord &mdash 11/23/06 - 06:41:21 AM
I knew this was going to be great. Catchy tune, great playing. Love the voice, but a bit surprised nobody mentioned something that disburbs me a bit : the voice seems to be distant, kinda muted, like if you where singing in a handkerchief. Am I crazy ? I would like it to be more present, I love the way you are singing. Anyway, fantastic job. Thanks for sharing.

thanks very much &mdash 11/23/06 - 10:27:41 PM
thanks for the comments. i think the problem is reverb i recorded the vocals wet with my processor and john (Texas Feel) noticed it too when he laid down his leads,backing vocals, and bass part so i used an eq to compesate and i cant take i out unless i recorded it again.so dont be surprised to find it redone in the future.once again thanks.

great stuff &mdash 11/27/06 - 09:38:10 AM
Terry, really like the vibe. Its got a timeless feel, and certainly pays homage to some great ideas. John, you nail that solo. The whole song meshes very nicely. Only nit would be the effect on the vocal, sounded a tad muted.

thanks &mdash 12/09/06 - 05:55:38 AM
thanks for the comments. yea this could not have been possible without john doing the leads after all he made them up way back when we were in a band together. so i when i decide to do the song on my computer i knew he had to recreate the magic.he did a good job on the bass too.the vocals were recorded thru my guitar processor wet with reverb so i think thats the problem. i might have to go back in and redo them dry and repost it .
once again thanks.
