Tragic &mdash 11/22/06 - 02:02:35 PM
Hey cool, I love that chunky guitar sound. Nice riffs and tone. The bass and drums sound good, but could be a little clearer in the mix perhaps. Cool rocker.

School's out for ever! &mdash 11/23/06 - 01:34:11 AM
This has an Alice Cooper feel to it. I think its your vocal style - you deliver the vocals a lot like he does. Good heavy riffs.

You have pretty good separation, though you might try a different kick drum. For this style of music its pretty buried in there. I'm split on the guitar tone. On one hand its distinctive, but there's not much attack or beef. This may sound counter-intuitive, but if you back off on the distortion it might sound even angrier. The bass locks up with the guitar nicely.

I dig.. &mdash 11/23/06 - 11:28:03 AM
...the heavy metal overdrive groove you've got going here. Sounds more like Metallica to me but maybe that's my sheltered life seeping through. The doubled vocals half way through give the vocals an ominous tone. Nice job with drums and cool riffs near the end. Mix wise, I think I'd bring the bass over to the left channel a little as it sounds obscured by the guitar to me, or perhaps sculpt a little space out for it with the EQ. Tight, rocking tune.

Thanks again for the comments. I can check this mix out again and see how the bass and drums sound. But when i was mixing this on my home system they sounded good. the bass drum sounded distinct in the mix and the bass guitar, although not overly loud also sounded at a good level. I thought any more level on the bass and it would be too distracting and too much in the forefront instead of a bit behind the guitars holding the rhythm together.

Anyway, I appreciate the comments and suggestions.

Kickin' &mdash 11/29/06 - 03:55:05 PM
Wish i could do rock as good as this... Sounds great loud..would like to hear the lead guitar a bit throatier. Maybe reduce effects and increase track volume could do it..
Either way its ideal for a headbanding cruise around town..Cheers!

hard as nails &mdash 01/04/07 - 05:35:42 PM
Crash - this sounds great even on my powerbook speakers. you've got a fantastically chewy, crunchy, live guitar sound on this that envelops the entire track. really good structure - the drop down in the 2/3 really adds some texture to it, then that nagging guitar solo ...

Cracking stuff.
