You brought a lot of your style to this piece with a brush - not a hammer. But I gotta say - you're also great with a hammer. [ Reply to This ]
cool beats, breakin' or otherwise ; ) &mdash 11/24/06 - 10:51:12 PM
Welcome to the Twilight of the Drumset: or how to compose with a hammer. Pardon the bad Nietzsche joke, but the production is tight. I love the air-raid siren in there. Oh, and the surprise ending is just sophomoric enough, dig it.
The production was sharp, but in electronic music I find it hard to do much that is absolutely qualifiable as "Grand Artistry". Besides, if we're talking really normal professional production, that's about as tight as spandex on Aeon Flux's back side. Perhaps a little bagginess is there, but I mean that's pretty still tight!

You're absolutely right &mdash 11/25/06 - 01:54:32 AM
There are no tens are there? Just enthusiastic boosterism - see the ratings Forum Post. And as for drums - nothing will replace a live drummer - though many of us try. I honestly think hands and skins are safe - just not in this democratic forest of musical exploration. The sirens etc. that you enjoyed are the contribution of Egobandit who has an uncanny way of personalizing the digital - check him out if you haven't already. As for me - I'm ready to get back to live recording and should have something postworty soon. Thanks for the kick in the pants. I think. [ Reply to This ]
I'm sorry &mdash 11/25/06 - 09:02:39 AM
This tune works way better . . . &mdash 11/25/06 - 02:37:25 PM
with headphones. Bagginess removed from Aeon's spandex.

If you find yourself lacking finesse, a big rock will usually make a sufficient substitute. [ Reply to This ]
i like it! &mdash 11/25/06 - 04:34:05 PM
but i don't know why! but it's cool in head phones! great beats man!-i think the middle sect where the string bass comes in should be the begining, cuz the last half of this is better that the first in my opinion-maybe lose the airy keyboard in the first part-this aside, i really like it-thanks for yer music-rawk on!!
