Description

With the Advent season coming up on December 3rd, I decided to post one of my favorite advent hymns; "Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus". Actually, I'm not posting the lyrics, only one of the tunes that I know this hymn can be sung to, which is 'Hyfrodol'. This arrangement is for flute, oboe, guitar, piano and bass. I started writing it last year at this time, and had a difficult time getting everything just right. I've taken a few months to let it sit, and worked with it some more, and I'm quite satisfied with this particular arrangement. Enjoy the holidays!

It took awhile to pull the instruments together, but they ended up pretty well blended, and I enjoy meditating on the text even though the words aren't included. Happy Holiday season to you!
