Description:
I have fallen in love with this song....others on the site have also done pretty cool things with it.
I felt like playing some rock music, so i found the beat i wanted and began to play some chords...this five and a half minute jam with myself somehow turned into Houseof the Rising Sun...I really had no intention of recording it this way, but I had been working on an acoustic duet version for several days, and i think i was in rebellion...anyway...I built a rather schitzo musical bed and messed with the melody...soloed a bit...i had some fun with it...

oh ziti &mdash 11/27/06 - 10:10:17 PM
sounds like you enjoyed creating this. I am not one to critique music here. Just to say thanks for sharing...and you're one talented being. This song wouldn't be the same without the crybaby wah hardware right? :-) [ Reply to This ]

Can't fool me... I've SEEN Fran's house... &mdash 11/27/06 - 10:21:36 PM
Although I've gotta say, that one in the picture looks like a real butte...
What a lovely and pleasant surprise, Mr. Zeetster.... A great take on one of my favorite, favorite songs...
Terrific guitar playing, well arranged...
Makes me want to do a folk song standard cover... join the crowd... it's all about peer pressure... that's how it starts....

Like that jimi Hendrix sound &mdash 11/27/06 - 11:07:44 PM
Like that theme feel, you sure know how to wring out a lot of rock melody. I can almost see you with a musical rag (guitar and strings) and wringing out all these musical notes till the rock blues rag is completly dry. A try sign of a pro guitarist indeed. Hey, so cool ending Z! [ Reply to This ]
drifting out to sea... &mdash 11/27/06 - 11:23:18 PM
This just pitches and rolls and drives relentlessly on through the waves, spray sheeting off the bow and blowing past me like sideways rain... not sure why this seems like a roaring schooner, but the speed and agility with which you play, and all the parts cranking fast and furious like that, with no breath between sections, felt like quite a great ride! I loved it... definitely like no other "House" I've heard before, which is great too, since there was nothing to hold on to and compare against, very fresh! And I loved the growly ending... awesome job there sir! Another fave/DL in my pocket!

Well &mdash 11/28/06 - 12:48:47 AM
Drakonis already wrote exactly what I was about to write, so read his comment again. Except, now I'm thinking it's a galleon at sea. Very excellent playing, as usual Mr. Ziti. I like the schizo effect, the arrangement that sounds like a cinematic travel, ever changing. You certainly know how to jam. [ Reply to This ]

you get a lot into that house! &mdash 11/28/06 - 08:59:42 AM
All sorts of tasty stuff in every nook and cranny! Wow! It's a little busy, probably, but certainly tons o' fun. Schitzo musical bed is almost an understatement, but it will be tough to top this version. [ Reply to This ]

That's one nice house. &mdash 11/28/06 - 03:30:20 PM
I was so lucky as to get a preview of this.
I loved it then and I love it now.
I especially like the different styles and variations of the same melody. It's similar enough to recognize the lines, but different enough to enjoy them on a new level.
Yet another nice piece of music!

Can't sing HUH &mdash 12/04/06 - 08:49:03 AM
Seems to me you found your voice long ago... I got a big kick out of the Regea-estque section... into the octive effected solo... keeping your genre options open huh??? What are you using to get your guitar tones?... you record beautifully... I often go back to check your software choice... I often think "Fran must be using PT or some pro software"... just goes to show you ...IT's all about performance [ Reply to This ]
Very cool &mdash 05/21/08 - 09:54:32 AM
Have had this one on my iPod for awhile . Great song, love the wah tone you get. Excellent riffs. Like the melody and hook. [ Reply to This ]
