Description:
Song Genre is actually: Cheesy Love Ballad with an intentially cheesy keys solo. A love story about a couple of homeless teens i used to pass on the way to work.

Lyrics:
Down on 32nd Street
Campagne and a milk crate loveseat
Taxi’s flicker yellowing fire
Now no time could be more perfect
Lost in their twisted mission
Whispers, slurs and self-hating visions

Do a line of borrowed time
And sift it through a dream
Chase it through the tunnels
of Port Authority

Now, crying in their cardboard
Cuddled by their fire
Kindling their infections and crossing their wires
The moonlight is so dirty
The reflection in the cans
And all the globe is spinning
As fast as it can.

Wow this is good &mdash 12/02/06 - 01:37:12 PM
What a great sound and structure you put together for this - lyrics, vox, music - it all works. Kinda stripped doen Brian Wilson. Love it!

Thanks for taking a listen. I actually just snagged a copy of Pet Sounds for my iPod. I haven't heard it in about 25 years. Now after your comment I'm gonna break it out.

Loved the smooth sound. Clean yet organic and loose feeling. You captued that moving down the road, windows down feeling. Well done.

Love that &mdash 12/04/06 - 12:59:56 PM
Another excellent song from you. Yeah, bud is right. Something, a "je ne sais quoi" from the Boys. The way you sing, the naive melody ? Don't know and doesn't matter. Well done, mate.

Naive = natural and unaffected, in my thoughts, and, according to the dictionary : art produced in a straightforward style that deliberately rejects sophistication. Originaly a french word. Can be pejorative, not in this case and, I agree with you, catchy as well.

You get some really groovy guitar tones. Your vox is choice on this one as well. The key solo fit perfectly with the feel of this.

Only nit I have is sometimes (though barely noticible), your voice seemed to strain and drift slightly off key. Otherwise, great, happy tune!

pitch-y &mdash 12/12/06 - 03:58:08 AM
Yeah, I know, I'm difinately not the greatest vocalist. Hey, but it's nothin a bunch of overdubs and some pitch correction won't fix---this was recorded before I discovered that particularly lovely plug-in.
