Description:
This is really a test of a couple of things. Main test is because of a collab I'm doing with Alfalpha, and my vocals keep coming over corrupted. This is just to see if you guys can pick up on any popping sounds on this. It's also a test of my new choral plug-in. The background vocals have had the plug-in added to them.

Oh, and HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

OK, I tried it... &mdash 12/01/06 - 09:29:36 PM
First off- nice VOX! I took the mp3 and put it in a new GB file. I applied the AUDynamicsProcessor and boosted the output level. I thought I could hear something, and this helped boost the level up. At 5.9 seconds into the mp3, I can hear your mic fade in. Sounds similar to a bad ground or the like. If I loop the mp3, it does pop loudly when it starts over. I don't know how much this info. will help you, or how much help my little test was, but I do hope you get the help/guidance to correct the problem.

One of my favorite carols &mdash 12/02/06 - 04:44:27 PM
I can hear that effects were added to the secondary vocals, but it doesn't really have a choral sound as much as a thicker sound, to my ears. I personally have been frustrated by trying to get a decent choral sound, too. I think you truly have to have several voices of differing timbres to get a real choral sound. This would sound nice with the simple vocals you're doing accompanied by a harp or string quartet.

Thanks Kris! Yeah, I've found that if I fiddle with the settings on the plugin I can get a more 'shoir-ish' sound effect, but it sounds VERY computer generated. Thanks for the harp and/or strings idea!

Beautiful ... &mdash 12/02/06 - 09:32:14 PM
...vox! I really like this, but the choral thing doesn't quite do it. Perhaps if you followed Kristyjo's suggestion and used a harp or strings (or even some classical guitar!). Even so, listening to your vocal delvery is a treat. Happy Christmas to you too!

Be well!
