Lyrics
Naked Toys

A well-known girl, from Hollywood
Lives a life, where others stood.
No food for thought, she chews her smut
And spits it out, for willing sluts.

A college boy, in Beantown, Mass.
Has all the charm of upper class.
He rides the train, that runs on time
Without a thought inside his mind.

And everybody makes them sings
The songs they never want to sing
While holding hands with wedding rings
They fear the man who would be king.

A fat, old man in Jiffytown
Stuffs his face and acts the clown.
His life’s a wash, his future dim.
He drives his cars and wipes his chin.

A naked girl, a naked boy
Play their game, with Naked Toys.
Charade of Love, each and every night.
Conquered hearts, where nothing’s right.

And everybody gladly sings
The songs they never want to sing
While holding hands with wedding rings
They fear the man who would be king.

Striking
Reminds me of Tom Petty singing some acid era Paul Beatles tune.

Great buildup in the outro, but it seemed a shame to end by slowing down. I was expecting more tension then a fade out.

Fantastic lyrics.

Normal Ending
Good suggestion. I had thought about something different but felt it reflected the finality that the characters in the song will face. A general decline and an end. All these people are too safe to face a chaotic ending.

Thanks for stopping, listening and commenting.

Thanks
Vic - Thanks again for stopping by. Your thoughts and comments are always appreciated.

For awhile now I have been wanting to do a montage ending to a song and this one seemed appropriate.

Thanks again.

good mix up
I like to hear that kinda of classic 60's sound. I agree with Pete NB, alittle beatles hangin' with Floyd's Gilmer. Bass line is tight too. Good song, need's just a little spice or somethin', or just good as it is.-MJG

No Spice in the Cabinet
I tried to get the Spice Girls to sing, but they were booked.

I wanted to keep the beginning sparse so that the ending would have more drama when it came in. I appreciate the bass comment. I doubled the bass to fill out the sound.

Thanks for coming by and commenting.

Too Slow?
I put this song on a disk and listened through the stereo. Sounds kind of slow. So, I went back to GB 3 and increased the tempo and thought everything was cool, but when I downloaded it to iTunes it was all out of wack.

When I went back to GB parts of the tracks were missing and it was a mess. I think what it is, will be what it is.

Redid it
Well, I went back and redid the lost tracks and got the tempo faster. I had locked some tracks and they got lost on the shuffle to iTunes.

Anyway, if you have some time or the inclination, give the new version a listen and see what you think.

Thanks to all that have stopped by.

Happy New Year.

British Steel
I cannot deny the British influence. In fact, I love the British influence, especially the two you referenced.

Thanks for coming by and listening and commenting. Glad you liked it.

Excellent
Very cool Randy Newman feel. Love the chopped lines (great lyrics), the pulse, the growth (could even be more during your vamps), and all the little details you added. I'm glad I stumbled onto this. Really cool.

he's so heavy..........
The song does remind me of something the Beatles might have done, leaning towards Abbey Road direction - you know -I want you- I want you so bad it's driving me mad - and leading into - He's so heavy........and so on. Again would like to hear some harmonies- maybe just straight oooohs in thirds and fifths, nothing too fancy.
