Illusion of Democrazy

Description
This song has been posted before, in an earlier mix. Now I post the Album Version in hope of boosting the interest in the Selters album! The album can be ordered for free by contacting me! It only cost a Postcard in return. My good Friend Angelo Cannavo has contributed on this song, playing Piano, Bass, percussion and has done the final mixing and mastering.

I was inspired to write this song this spring, in anger over unjust wars that are being fought all over the world. Wars that I am supporting as a taxpayer.I never finished the song, until new inspiration came when Israel Bombed Lebanon to pieces this summer. I know all wars are complex, and there is never a black and white answer on who is the good and bad side. One thing I am quite sure of however, is that all people just want to live a peaceful life without wars. And yet our goverments go to war... That is what i mean about "Illusion of democrazy". For instance, How many Norwegians would have supported the War in Afghanistan if it also included a massive bombing of our own country? Not many I presume..... Maybe that is a thought to consider the next time our governments declares a war......

Lyrics
My kingdom called and wanted me
I was needed for democrazy
In a land supposedly free
To fight a great Conspiracy
While Whistleblowers cried out loud for peace

When I arrived In the foreign land
The locals didn’t give a hand
They had created their own plan
To remove us all man by man
The people cried out loud for peace

Chorus

I was in shock, I couldn’t stand
Blood was spillt on my small hands
I didn’t realize the pain
I felt inside when I watched it rain
People were flushed down the drain
While whistleblowers cried loud for peace!

3
It was all based on a lie
Ten thousands innocents have died
I have seen a mother s cry
When we killed her little child
While whistleblowers cried out loud for peace

For how long can they manipulate
And fill us up with unjust hate
Wo that they can have their cake
No matter what it takes
The people should start crying out for peace

chorus
I am in a shock I cannot stand
The blood is on the people’s hands
We cannot understand the pain
They feel inside when they let it rain
People are flushed the drain

Hello Magnus !
One again thank you for sending your Album to me !
I like it very much - it is perfect for an evening in this wet and windy weather (in Germany).
Of course a glass (not a bottle ;) ) of wine has to be there too :)

Nice Style
I really like your style. I like the melancholy feel to this and the chord progression you use. You've perfectly melded song structure with a message. I think a lot about how little control we have in our governments decisions. We've definitely seen the dark side of big government with the war in Iraq. It's gonna take a real long time (if ever) to repair the damage that's been done by the US.
