why is this art rock? i think it's just plain cool stuff. (maybe there is no genre for that?)
bud
changed genre to "other". Thanks for checking in. BTW - your LIOLI is great.

Hey bud,
Getting em's to alert me to your new songs. This one is cool. There is a long tail end of silence that you might want to crop off. Otherwise I like the experiment. It is always fun and interesting to play an instrument you are not that familiar with. Some cool stuff comes out.

You're already on my list. I really dig what you've been posting. The long tail of silence (title of my next song) was an accident - but there are very low synth tones back there that I kinda like with phones on. slow decompression.
Volcanique
Moody, thoughtful, ominious, cinematic. "Living" is right. Excellent job.

nice git work.
there are sounds all over, love the low static twist. This one was like musical chairs for musicians. then the music stops and everone changes instruments another very cool tune hope they put the downloads back up
bud
I always hated party games - but I have a real fondness for musical chairs and spin the bottle.
something new for my ipod. This is it when they get the downloads back online. I got right into the ending, waiting for someone to say something-
but everyone is too stoned to speak. That pro-one again. A wee monster it is. Great jam.
bud
There's a lot of great music these days - yours included. This was our last song of the night. The pro-one came later.
Yay!

Ars longa, vita brevis.
and everything slowly distorting before fading away.
I find this entrancing.

I like the piano and percussion (tom) interjections over the meandering tracks. They keep the piece from droning in a boring way. Now it drones in a "breathing" way.
My only whines is that the tape recorder doesn't do justice to all the instruments, but it does have a cool lo-fi sound on the up-side.
I'd love to hear another take of this tune with a modal and percussion shift in the middle, with a return to the original mode and tempo.

it was the last thing we did that night and just swapped instruments and decompressed. I'm afraid I'm a lo fi guy at heart.
Enjoy the solstice.
