Description
This track is a bit of a depature from the usual Day For Night sound, this one has more of a traditional English folk feel to it. A spooky Christmas ballad.

Lyrics
I took to wander from my home
on a restless winter day
my heart felt so alone
for why I could not say
I saw a woman walking there
she came so close to me
a face as white as freshest snow
falling from the trees
She said can you help me
my dear man
for I have lost my way
I have wandered these hills and vales
since last Christmas day
I said how did you come to be lost
when this weather is so cold
I'll help you find your way back home
if i may be so bold
I took her by the hand
and led her slowly down the hill
her eyes they did not speak
and her mouth remained as still
when finally we came to my house
she turned and said to me
don't you know me oh kindly sir?
For I am known to thee
I was the maid in your father's house
I was fair but not free
when I spurned your father's advance
he put his hands on me
He took me down to the farthest wood
on that cold Christmas day
I swore against my blood that spilled
that I'd return one day
She turned and smiled
your father's gone
but you are here with me
and the blood debt
that must be payed
will be here this Christmas day
on a restless winter day
my heart felt so alone
for why I could not say
I saw a woman walking there
she came so close to me
a face as white as freshest snow
falling from the trees
She said can you help me

at its best. This has all the elements of a classic folk tune... a choice acoustic guitar part, an inviting lead vocal, a story that leads the listener through the song... and the added extra, the vocal harmony of Cat. Kudos to you both. The DL is broken, if you would... email me a copy at dadai_music@yahoo.com or if not, I will come back when it is fixed. Thanks.
Beautiful song.
