This is the second blast from the past
(my past that is) that you have posted here on MJ. This is another song we used to perform in the jug band I was in back in my HS and college days. I played the washboard so I had a big solo in the middle. It was supposed to be 8 bars, but on nights when we maybe did something special before the show (wink, wink) I would do 12, 16, 32 bars ... so many I lost count anyway.

Thanks for posting this.

Back to the 20s!
It's the rebirth of flapper era. Really a fun piece. Very well realized. The cat's pajamas as they used to say back then.

Takes me back
At Disneyland there was a show called "America Sings" which took the place of the old Carousel of Progress and this was one of the tunes that the geese sang in the very first set. I don't think I've heard it since then, so this really took me back and put a big ol' smile on my face. And actually, your version is more true than the Disney version - and longer, so the smile hung around for awhile. Nice work!
