Description:
This is a happy song based on Robert Green Ingersoll's creed.

Lyrics:
"Think outside the box,
but don't forget to pray.
Now come back inside,
we don't want you to stray."
They said, "This world is such
a sad and bitter place,
but we are here for just a while..."

Since I've been gone
there's no more fear,
no cross to bear.
I've left the narrow
path behind.
Goodbye, despair.

No more scary nights
and no more gloomy days.
Happiness is all
now that we've parted ways.
And now the peace inside
my heart is real, I know.
I hope you'll one day understand...
- - -
Justice is the only worship.
Love is the only priest.
Ignorance is the only slavery.
Happiness is the only good.
The time to be happy is now,
The place to be happy is here,
The way to be happy is to make others so.
(Robert G. Ingersoll)

First off, as i said in the chatroom, very upbeat! What's even cooler is you supplement the track with really great lyrics. I always sing moody sad songs...so this is a nice lift for me Sergio :-) Keep up your great work.

Good piece well produced &mdash 12/14/06 - 10:01:02 AM
A lot of the elements work together even though they are quiet diverse sounding. The cheap mic that you "brag about" in the description give an unusual quality to the vocals that works well on this piece. The vocal stands as a contrast to the snyth lead very well. I like the way you handled the quote near the end.

Thanks for listening and for your kind comments. I shouldn't make such a fuss about my mic, mostly I like to blame it for my lacking vocals!

a nice touch &mdash 12/15/06 - 09:51:49 AM
beautiful, positive start to my birthday !!!!!!
being 30 today, this track takes me back to 80's radio, and a time when some of the sounds your using were in the latest killer video games. like arkanoid, wonderboy and rastan saga..........
well produced and good that it has the singing as it gives it organic emotional content which helps reinforce your wordly message...........

What a wonderful comment! I'm so glad this song took you back, I love the 80s with all it's sugary sounds and magical beats. Happy birthday, by the way, and thank you so much for taking the time to listen and comment. :)

...and for your kind comments. I love that cat picture, by the way. I used to have a cat that looked a lot like that, his name was Cosme.

Nice song.
The bass sound like the Amiga-computer sound that was used in many 80's games. Like the music from 'Beach Volley',
a amiga-game that I played in the eighties.

It was a typical SID-sound.
SID was the name of the soundprocessor with integrated synthesizer that also was used in the commodore 64.

yet another wonderful song... &mdash 12/17/06 - 11:40:38 AM
very catchy and the message is relevant. I have found that most songs that deal with this subject matter end up very angry or sad, you do a great job of communicating happiness in your music.

Not really my thing but the production sounds pretty good. A little too bugglegum for me.

This is a "boucy-happy" tune for certain. An easy and enjoyable listen! Thanks,

This reminds me of a band from the eighties. Can't remember the name, but I guess the style would suit several from that period. Very good and right on the genre.

Cool &mdash 12/18/06 - 08:13:45 PM
Nice pulsing beat, pushing everything along. Cool lyrics. I liked this one a lot up until the spoken part. But that's just me, probably--spoken "songs" just aren't my thing. Still like the overall song. Liked the ending too. Thanks for posting.

Very nice... &mdash 01/03/07 - 03:23:28 PM
Has that Latin pop beat that I really dig! I feel this needs a little more variation and volume in the drum beats to make it fly even higher. It sounds metallic but additional percussion will give it a bass counterpoint I think. Vocals are upfront and you sure can sing, but recording or effects can be improved with better mic. Other than that.... very, very good composition and structure and overall performance for such a young musician! I donwloaded it for more listening so I can figure more where it sounds really good and where it can be a little better. Thanks for the post.

....I'm reminded about some of those bands, back in my high school days...Human League, (as one example!)
Very Cool!
Thank You!
