Nicely done &mdash 12/14/06 - 02:50:26 PM
Sounds like a cut from the folk days of the early 60s. Good job.

You really took a very average vocal of mine and, by adding your many voices, turned this into an amazing vocal celebration. And leaving out the guitar part in the first part of the last Gloria... brilliant. Merry Christmas!

C'mon, Jack. Take a deep bow. You started it with your brilliant guitar work (with those rapid chord changes and well-knit combination of strumming n' picking). Plus, your rock-solid lead voice gave me room above and below to harmonize. We sing this song at our church every Christmas season in four part harmony. All for the praise of the Holy One.

One of my favorite carols &mdash 12/16/06 - 08:52:45 AM
I liked the interweaving of the harmonies around the melody. The simplicity of the guitar with voices works really well, too.

Wow! &mdash 12/18/06 - 09:33:18 PM
I was going to say something about a slight hiss I heard throughout (well, ok. I just did). Then I saw that this was recorded straight into the pinhole mic. Amazing! This is probably the very best recording I have ever heard using that method. Your guys' harmonies are spot on. Very nice. Faved.

Merry Christmas!
