Description:
We went from the moog to the loop. The string sounds that are in Gb let me have the paints and the the insperation comes from many, such as Kieth Jarret, Moody Blues, and many others. that combination of strings as a back drop for the new tec jam with the old world. Now we get to do it with loops. The new paints. I could get into this sound. Gotta Lv GB n MJ

and complex. some tensions on the outside but i like it. the backward tracks sound really cool. the solo riffs have a pat metheny edge to them and help soften it a little. nice mix [ Reply to This ]
Thank you &mdash 12/23/06 - 02:52:59 AM
Your taking the time to comment means a lot to me. The guitar souning like Metheny is a very nice complement. I dig the early Metheny when he played more guitar sounding stuff. He was a staple on the old turntable. I guess it pours right out at times.
I'll have to check out you stuff.
Thanks again

Tension gives way to... &mdash 12/22/06 - 06:39:19 PM
I like the backwards tracks, I think they help create a more disturbed tension in the music.
The whole thing feels very visual to me.
I agree with ktb on the mix...

Hey &mdash 12/23/06 - 03:01:07 AM
Thanks for checking this out. Your going to give me some insperation to do more. I kinda liked the string bed. It was fun to mess with. Like paints.
I agree with you about it being visual. That is the road, an old road that armies
have crossed... or something like that...
anyway...close you eyes and enjoy.
Thanks again
I'll check out you stuff

Very Nice! &mdash 12/26/06 - 06:57:13 AM
This is such an interesting track. lots of layers with each part flowing so smoothly together. I like Karmatoburn Metheny reference as I am a big fan too. This is one of those tracks which I want to be at least 10 mins long.. hehehe, it constantly evolves ...
beautiful!

Great to here from you &mdash 12/26/06 - 11:21:44 PM
the lenth of this tune is to short for me too. I keep going back to it and it ends too soon. Maybe a follow up or even ... I could continue what is already here..
Thanks for your incouragement. I was a bit unsure about this tune.
Sometimes I realy like something and no one seams to take notice.
Thanx again!

This is really pretty &mdash 01/03/07 - 11:47:34 AM
And I mean that in the best possible sense! Lush and strange, with hints of discord hanging around on the perimeter threatening to throw the whole thing off...... but no shying away from gentle, lovely stuff either. It puts me in mind of some ECM artists like Oregon or Ralph Towner. With a healthy dose of the avant-garde to keep it real! Great job! [ Reply to This ]
ECM...WOW &mdash 01/04/07 - 01:20:53 PM
Thats a complement. I am a huge Towner fan. . And Abercrombie, Jarret, Methent, Kenny Wheeler...etc.
So cool of you to take notice. I lived with ECM on the old turntable for decades basicly till i had kids. Then it was Raffie.
I have more avant garde stuff but am a little afraid to post it.
I just might becouse of your comment. I have a tune called 'my space'...watch for it ...
Thanks again
