Description
Everybody loves a quickie every once in a while, so, I spent about an hour or so putting this one together. I wanted to do something a little lighter for Christmas, so here it is - The Night before Christmas at MacJams.
Merry Christmas to all and blah, blah, blah, blah.....
Merry Christmas to all and blah, blah, blah, blah.....

Lyrics
Night before MJ Xmas
@2006 Joseph Gurner
T’was the night before Xmas and all over the ‘Net
Not a pixel was stirring, not even a bit
The chat rooms were empty, the porn sites were down
and no one on MySpace could even be found
I sat at my MacBook with a frown on my face
looking for anything out there in cyberspace
and just as I started a new entry on my blog
a new window popped up from out of the fog
I clicked on the link as fast as I could
hoping that finally, I’d found something good
The website sprang open and I knew really quick
that the website I’d chosen was just the right click
The banner said MacJams: Mac Music Makers Central
and there’s no appropriate word to go here, that really rhymes with central
I started clicking on songs to see what I’d hear
and I couldn’t believe what enter my ear
The cool sounds of Mungo and jiguma and Ziti
of Greenstone, Cydniko, JOAN and of Rebsie
(Okay, I know Rebsie and Ziti don’t really rhyme, but you try to find two MacJammer’s names that rhyme just in the spur of the moment and see how well you do.)
I listened to their songs and downloaded with glee
such great music for my iPod and all of it free!
I decided right then I wanted to play along
so I dragged out my guitar and recorded a song
At first I was nervous. But then I started having fun
and before I really knew it, my first song was done
So laying a finger on my MacBook’s keys
I clicked on submit, and it uploaded with ease
I waited and watched as people clicked on my song
and they started to comment and vote before long
I checked it obsessively all though the day
to see what these MacJammers had to say
The comments were good, supportive and polite
so I decided it was time to sign off for the night
As I read the final comment before I closed out the site
it said “Merry Christmas to all and to all....
Wait a minute! Did some one give me a FIVE?!! What the hell! They didn’t even leave a comment! I mean, who leaves a five without a comment? Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me. This is AT LEAST and eight. I’d give it straight tens. God! I can’t believe this. I bet it was.... no, wouldn’t have been Neil, it’s night time in Australia and he always leaves a comment. Mungo? Nah, he’d say something if itwas that bad..... Dion? No... wait.. where is Dion? I haven’t seen him in a while. I bet it was Lisa.... no... maybe Mikki? Oh, I bet it was one of those guys from JOAN. yeah, that’s it. Oh, I bet they think they’re being funny. HA! I’ll show them funny.....

Bummer .... I just burnt my Xmas MacJams CD too : ) Great to hear your speaking voice Joseph, and the lyrics are neat. I think we can all relate to these - it's good to hear you haven't lost your sense of humour over there Joseph.
A lot of fun - thanks,
Neil
