Lets just say I haven't been able to give garageband this much attention since the end of summer. I'm coming out of a long hiatus.

So here's the story: Wi-Fi Walrus sends me a garageband file just before winter break, says I ought to spice it up a lil' maybe add some drums. So I took a look at it and basically scrapped everything but the instrument generator for the opening synth, and I put a trance gate on it. At this point the song isn't really a collaboration anymore, but I still owe Wi-Fi for getting me started and therefore I'll let him do whatever he wants with this song...so long as I can too!

Firstly, gottta say that this isn't my usual genre, but the energy in this is terrific. Great production on this, and fantastic playing - the piano playing is just jaw-dropping. Actually reminds me of a kinda trance version of Muse (which i mean as a compliment), with almost classical-style flourishes. Well structured and builds to a head shaking climax - great stuff.

Nice job my friend. Beautiful ivories, my friend. Now, I know that this will be a stupid question, but is that you on the ivory? I mean really... I'm sitting here now, 'eyes wide open', and in wonderment... Lots of cool things hangn' out in this one. It will require a study period to get all that's goin on here - Like every thing you do, this is far from being, 'just another trance piecee...

PS - Does this mean that yer back out to play, or is this just for the little seasonal break?

I'm afraid this may only turn out to be a seasonal break. Well, maybe my classes next semester will be lighter and i'll have more time for electronica in the schedule. For now at least, I'm back out the play.

Joel, dude, you da man! This is manic pace! Were you on speed or something when you were making this? Just kidding(!) but , damn, this can really set you in the mood for a warped speed travel in a phantasmagoric world if you let the music carry you away. That piano playing can make Amadeus turn his head if he were alive today, or maybe he's dancing the trance in his grave. he-he! Awesome piece, Joel. As always, you display the genius and musical sensibility of someone well beyond your years! Now, if you can make a piece that has some vocals in it... hmmm I think we have that in the works, ;-)

Love the nod to classical arpeggios, gives this more class and freshness than a lot of trance I've heard. This was enjoyably energetic... and you didn't really play those at that speed did you? Yikes! Nice clean mix too.

I haven't been around MJ for a while and you are one of the few artists I try and keep up with. This is awesome!! Beautiful to say the least. I always love a good trance atmosphere mixed with piano. Its absolutely the best sound on the planet. VERY nice. Added to favorites and downloaded (as per usual!)
