Description:
‘Under the spreading chestnut tree
I sold you and you sold me.‘

I've been reading 1984 again lately, and I think this piece fits the final scene. It's not supposed to be what the main character is feeling but what the reader is supposed to feel.

This is the first piece I've uploaded using my new keyboard (just got it for christmas). No more, or at least far less, use of the pencil tool from now on. :D

I sincerely hope you all enjoy the piece, and remember:

Big Brother is watching you.

Nice sound... &mdash 03/27/07 - 11:44:22 PM
Has a good sound overall, but I'd like to hear a little development, maybe a B section in the middle, then return... with the piano doing the tune with a little rhytmic embellishment, or maybe up an octave to give a listener a bit of new with the familiar.
Regards, David (also a LE/JP4 user)

nice piece &mdash 07/23/08 - 03:06:19 PM
I really like to mood of this piece. It really rings true in the "Big Brother" feel - dark and menacing. It is tough without being aggressive.

But I do find that it gets a little repetitive Maybe that's the intent) and like David, I would like to hear a B section. Maybe another instrument could pick up the piano ostinato to add some variety.

I would also add just a little vibrato to the horn line and bring it out a little. and maybe toss it around the orchestra a little bit, echoing the horns with the woodwinds?
