Description:
John composed these hauntingly beautiful pads one cold and rainy evening, and sent them my way to see if I could add anything to them. Well, I couldn't help it, and indulged myself immensely (almost guiltily) . Then, James Moore was gracious enough to lend a hand with his ever-impressive drum work. And so, we present: Alone with You.
This song's been described as a musical interpretation of sexual intimacy (you can figure out which part's which!), and while this was not the original intent or goal of the song, I have a hard time explaining it in a better way.
2006 has been a great year for Fractal Garden. On 1/1, John & I posted our first collaboration, and during the course of the year, we formed our band, started our own web site, and completed our first album. So it's somewhat fitting, on nearly the last day of the year, that we release Alone with You. This will most assuredly be the last song on one of our albums. We're not sure which one, since we have 3 concurrently running album concepts, but I think you'll see what I mean after you have a listen.
Oh, and as long as you're here, our first album, Between Strangers, has been pressed and will be available through CDBaby.com next week. Woohoo! The CD has completely re-mastered songs, with an 8 panel, full-color CD insert just stuffed with fractal goodness. We'll also be back on iTunes early '07 where our tunes will be available as singles.
Thanks for listening.

Nice track. I especially enjoyed the acoustic guitar interlude towards the end. the pads were thick-a-licious. [ Reply to This ]

Very Steve Vai at moments. Nice work. The guitar and pads were very well done. The only criticism that I could give is that drum production could use some work. That would put this song over the edge.
But otherwise, great job all around.
