Hi Roxylee &mdash 01/01/07 - 02:17:43 PM
.. well, to play like me is easy, just do as usual and don't think too much, that's how I use to do it .. hmm, not the funniest joke but a trial ..

Glad you stopped by anyway. Thank you for your uplifting words!

Let me be the first &mdash 01/01/07 - 09:53:22 AM
to give you straight 10's for this year. I love "Sound of Wood" and play it in my Jeep whenever I'm out; the Curry sound is great traveling music. "If You Want" is one of my favorite cuts off the album.

A very happy New Year to you Curry! :-)

Ojojoj .. hearing that someone is playing Milinda's (that's the name of my guitar) music while travelling in a Jeep, probably on the countryside, on another continent .. that makes me stop and ponder over life and it's fantastic possibilities.. that gives new meaning to the whole process of producing music .. that gives incentive for makin more .. and better ..

Thanks a lot for letting me know Rick!

Smoke on the Water! &mdash 01/01/07 - 10:15:48 AM
This is even better than Smoke on the Water! I think you should make a whole album of this stuff! Oh -- wait a minute -- I guess you already did. Please disregard the previous two sentences.

Very warm, beautiful, optimistic; a great way to start the new year!

I thought it reminded me of that one, but then it goes on living its own life:)

Cozy guitar playing. Would be just right for those late night sitting alone or together with good friends just relaxing and listening to you playing.

Well, it's still a lovely tune, beautifully played and recorded, and I think I have about four versions on the hard drive already...

One of these days I really want to try putting a set of words to it. It's such a lyrical melody...

This is one of my favorites among your songs...

Pure amazement... &mdash 01/03/07 - 04:05:10 PM
I'm sitting here, third or forth listen, abit mezmorized and I'm thinking to myself, 'man... he must have been born with a guitar as an extention, but that he had time w/ it in a previous life'...

Then I started thinking about the natural extenions of my body and which ones have I mastered the use of... The only thing that I can truly say that I've mastered is, how to walk. It's a no-brainer as you say 'don't think about it'...

And then I realize, I haven't truly mastered walking, models have mastered and taken to new levels, the art of walking...

But I think some more... and I think... man, he even makes the way I walk look bad...

It's likely that I should 'not think about it'...

Beautiful - And it removed every bit of stress from my being... - Thank you, Cori - Macca

Thanks a lot Macca .. That got me thinkin a lot. Sometimes (or often really) I worry about not making enought out of the only talent .. using too much time, first for all the administrative stuff in life, secondly for other doings, that are often totally meningless. What kind of focus do I have? These are questions that arise..

Your comment spurs me though to make more out of it .. to put more focus into the day of today. Thats the only arena we have really, that's all we own; this day of today... I have been wasting too many of them .. most of them really.

Thank you again for for yor supportive and deeply fundamental thoughts!

Walter, this is really gonna sound strange &mdash 01/03/07 - 08:59:56 PM
But, as I'm sitting here watching this scene, I'm simply impressed with the quality of artistry on display here...

The first few moments of this piece, both the music and your voice transported me to a grand old theater. -- From the ventilation system, I could feel a cool secondhand breeze floating a subtle mixture of perfumes through the air... I'm in a perfect seat, front and center, just a few rows back -- Close enough to feel the emotions emanating from the stage, and the audience, too...

As I'm moved through this story, I'm transported even deeper, and to the actual home where these acts take place... - As casual as these not so innocent moments may seem, they're hosted by a degree of contentment that's somewhat familiar, and quite unsettling...

There's an honesty in your approach, and a pureness in your delivery that makes this so vivid and real. Excluding mine, I was taken through two other levels of reality and through to the 'actual' events... The quality of your production made this 'live', and on many levels...

Encore! * Encore! - Macca

What can I say, I was moved...

.. &mdash 01/05/07 - 05:50:27 AM
Oh yes, I forgot that this of course is an interesting aspect on a solo recording as this .. especially acoustic guitar can be a little tricky to get right. Well here it is:

Furch D-24 dreadnought acoustic guitar
Two Golden Age Project R1 mics
An Alto S-8 little mixer
Audiophile 2496 sound card
Mac G4 Quicksilver

Now added to the song description..

I can also add that I have the mikes about 30-40 cm in front of the 12:th freat of the guitar, around 25 cm apart from each other.
