Going Under

Description
This mix was originally called Meth Head Blues, then Crack Head Blues, then Das Yodel.

I finally decided on Going Under because, from many angles, that is what the tune induces in me when I listen to it.

There's a German-speaking guy in there, there's grating sounds, regular, fast drumming and an occasional lead line rears its ugly head.

My excuse for working on this mix was to throw out the Chrimbo spirit until next December and get on with other projects, (if I needed an excuse that is).

Flawless mix
of this persistant piece. I just wish it did not start and stop so strangely.

Thanks Bill for the comments...
I had intended this piece to be a 'continuous loop' whereby the end would seemlessly roll into the beginning, if looping was enabled on your multimedia listening application. I thought that I'd typed this in as part of the description but I guessed it was just in my mind.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful 2007.

Many thanks....
Many thanks Stephen for taking time to listen and leave an encouraging comment.

I'll see if I can remember the particular set of samples I used for this mix and play around with it some more.

I did this track nearly two years ago and only found it again a couple of days ago.

Have a great 2007.

CALORIES BURNED
i swear i lost weight listening to this.
;)
i liked the jacob's ladder ascending part.
at one point i had flashes of dr frankenstein in his laboratory creating the Monster Song. ending was rather abrupt, but then the start was none too sluggish either. enjoyed the visit, anne

Thanks for stopping by....
The weight-loss thing could be marketable. I'll see what I can do with the idea. Using me as the (not tested (quite) on animals) subject.

I think I found a couple of items that were Dr Frankensteins' when I tidied my flat just before Christmas, a nut and a lightening conductor. (Not sure what the lightening conductor is for).

The piece only really flows together when listened to in a loop or repeat setting. It's meant to go on and on and on and on (and on and on) so that if you initially weren't in a trance you would be along the way.

You and your sister have a great 2007.

R.

I enjoy creating music using computers and 'synthesized' as opposed to 'real' instruments. I have no problem using samples/loops in my music. Everyone does this every time they work with a track. I don't fit in any box and thoroughly enjoy working ou... [see more]
