LOUD &mdash 01/01/07 - 10:40:35 PM
Nice build up! Sounds like horror at the beginning! Then it gets creepy! I'm waiting for destruction! WOW! Cool! Sounds like things need a little EQ! More bass maybe! You have some cool ideas here! FInd a cool EQ setting and stick with it! A little too much treble. [ Reply to This ]
Cool &mdash 01/02/07 - 08:47:12 AM
Reminds me of something off the American Beauty soundtrack at the start. The heavy bit that comes in is cool and reminiscent of some Weezer stuff. I think it needs an injection of bass in the heavy bit - I thik it would lift it a bit more. I liked it very much - could be a bit longer for that kind of track. [ Reply to This ]
I love the intro section... &mdash 01/02/07 - 08:48:28 PM
I bet that Mungo would appreciate the bell tones there...
I agree with the slant of what Gav and Bizarre are suggesting, in terms of fattening up the bottom when it hits the more rocking part... I think it does, indeed, need "an injection of bass" at that bit, and I'd do it with some bass and with some crunchy rhythm guitar... Needs a whomping kick drum there, too... The track has that "guitar played on a keyboard" sort of sound at that point...
Still the song is very songlike, dynamic and musical... Could be turned into song with lyrics... could be turned into a slightly more elaborate instrumental... could be a lead guitar tour de force...
I'm glad I listened to this one...

nice &mdash 01/02/07 - 10:29:23 PM
great mood sounds here. the guitar-like melody is nice. i like the effect of hammer-down notes, although it might be a tad hard to play that, so the illusion of guitar seems to falter.
i do agree you need some activity in the bass register. stronger bass in the drums could do that, and/or a supporting bass line. perhaps bump up the EQ on the bass on the drums? or add a bass line made out of a riff from the bells in the intro might do nicely, and would tie up this song into a neat little package.
but i mean all this as helpful hints - please take it that way!
