I think the Djembe sounds great! Really adds some nice depth and drive to the song. The guitars strumming is also very driving, and the vocals are beautiful--love the way you flip up into falsetto for the high parts. So, the overall feel of the song really sits well with me. However, I have kind of a tough time with the lyrics--I like the sentiments expressed, but some of the phrases are confusing to me--like "life personified," or "when tears are shed to find the strength to live this life's encore." By the time I get to the end of that line, I'm kind of lost. I guess I'm craving somewhere a line or chorus that's a little more of a hook--somethng I don't have to think so hard to follow, something that will stick in my head more readily. Then again, maybe I'm just in a lazy mood this late at night.... Awesome overall sound, challenging lyrics.
