What an amazing little tune. It develops nicely and keeps the ear interested in what is coming next. The melody dances nicely from tonic to dominant and really falls on my ears quite gracefully.

thanks for the response. im glad you enjoyed the tune. i wrote it with another tune back in april. it finished itself rather quickly. i had to tweek the mix a little bit a couple times, but the instruments in reason really helped write the tune.

i took music theory in HS (13 yrs ago) and i can't say that ive really retained anything i learned. im the typical lazy rock guitar player as far as theory goes and all my compositions are based on my ear and nothing else.

Some odd ingredients here and there but very nice over all. Very cinematic - it certainly conveys pictures of sailing boats lacking wind in the sails. Well done!
