Improvised (52)bass solo (6)clarinet (30)trilogy (7)
Description:
A bass guitar and Bflat clarinet duet. This part 1 of a 3 part composition titled 'Trilogy In Three.' Essentially all 3 compsoitions are bass solos (kind of) with clarinet accompaniment. These were recorded the good old fashioned way, using a reel-to-reel recorder. The only real editing done on a Mac was using Pro Tools free to tidy the beginnings and endings etc. I actually played these pieces while suffering from streaming hayfever. These pieces also quite old now, but I have a foundness for them, so I thought I share them here.

Open intervals &mdash 01/05/07 - 10:30:56 AM
Like a fantasy on Aaron Copland's Billy the Kid. I love the open intervals. The space. Too short, I'd prefer an ending to a fade. Haunting.

Me and my mate did this! &mdash 01/22/07 - 08:45:34 AM
No, I didn't play the clarinet parts. My friend David Tratt did. Annoyingly talented bloke - a pianist really, but good on woodwind too. These particular recordings that make up Trilogy In Three were recorded very much on the spare of the moment, I had streaming hayfever at the time, that's way some of the tracks fade out!

Glad you like it :)
