Description:
This is the fourth improvisation from that hot night in end of July this summer.
And it will be the last. (There were a few more made, but they don't add much).
The background story
At the end of July my cousin from another part of the country was visiting. Since she is a fan of Curry guitar, I lined the nylon Yamaha through the Stomp and gave a series of improvisations, (also pushed the recording button just in case).
These are improvisations. Unplanned. Themes comes in the moment .. or a second or two ahead. Therefore this music isn't well thought out, and sometimes a little strange, but on the other hand it has an immediateness.
I have post-edited the pieces; cut away less fortunate parts, and sometimes doubled short passages to get a more musically harmonic result, after all it is not a show-off or feat, but something to be enjoyed as music :-)
The photo
The photo was taken around the days the recordings were made .. and it shows the particual guitar used.

Regardless of what information you're trying to comunicate with this song, or even about how it was composed and arranged to share with us, from ear to soul, that which vibrated my being in such the resonant way is what I felt...And what I felt was something quite wonderful...
Of course I'd like to feel this way again... Thanks to your kindness, I will...

...and the improvisatory spirit keeps it very much alive...
In fact, it seems as if your spirit moves through this music straight from you to us...to me, anyway...
You get terrific tone from this guitar, and the AG Stomp...
Gratefully added to my extensive Cori Ander playlist...

Thank you Ed, I have digested every word of your comment! (I am usually quite late replying to comments, but today I saw in a forum that you dig to read the replies, so I hurry up here before this one disappears from your 20-list of latest comments, which I guess happen quite fast with your activity rate. Anyway I want to say that your comments are always most important to me!).

This is superb improvisation if anything was. The "little strange things" are not strange in my ears at all, but adds to the moment of surprise. This, I really enjoy! Thank you! /Mikki

and soothing sounds from your guitar. Reminds me of warm sunshine coming through a window on a late winter's day, always welcomed.

I just read the title of the song... hot night in July. Oh well... it still reminds me of the warmth of the sun on a cold winter's day.... cheers!

Very soothing and relaxing. The title, even though it's like a reminder-note, fits perfectly to the music. That nylon sounds very good! This will be my first download on MJ. Thanks!
Cori Ander
Well that's honour! Thank you and welcome to MacJams!

and I enjoyed it:) Thanks!
Your instrumental guitar pieces would serve very well as the sound track to documentaries or part of movies. They have a relaxed mood that would add a dimension to such I think.
Cori Ander
Really nice idea .. maybe I should think a bit over how to get in contact with film makers in order to offer them the use of my music ..

..... excellent post Curry! The tone is just amazing, and the recording just perfect. I don't think I've ever heard a guitarist who can put such emotion into their playing, and this is definitely one of your best pieces.
Peace,

As usual you play marvelously. This song is very delightful to the ears and I felt at peace while listening to it. For improvising this you surely put together a touching piece

Listening is like floating down a river on a lazy summer's day. Nice job of improvising.

I love the deepness and fullness of the bass! Your improvisations are truly inspired and inspiring. THanks for posting--Jim
This was actually provacative; too bad most music nowadays doesn't make you think at all, but whatever. Nice song, man, I'm not someone who says things insincerely either.

I've been to a couple of wonderful concerts of Indian music where they've played ragas which reflect different times of day - this seems to be played in Curry's balmy night raga... a bit bluesy and a bit modal.
This is a beautiful track. I love music that is just made up on the spot and that seems to belong to and reveal the qualities of the time in which it happened and that this seems to do just that... a bit tired, very happy and elated too. In fact that sense of exultance gets so strong as the piece moves. Wonderful.

The sound of your guitar is absolutely perfect to my ear. Warm and sonorous but with character and detail. Your improvisation is flowing like a small river, full of talent and poise. Reminded me why I'm always happy to see you pop up on the MacJams member window. So glad you keep posting on this website!
