I quite enjoyed this &mdash 01/05/07 - 06:35:38 PM
There are some truly beautiful moments in here. I particular like the bass guitar and I'm glad you left it's warm pulsating qualities intact instead of distorting the hell out of it. The thing about experimental songs, for me, is that I'm always searching for the parts I can relate to. You've created an ambient soundscape -- kinda spacey -- and yet one can still pick out the individual instruments for the most part. The acoustic vs. electronic. Hendrix' 1983 has always been the 'bar' in experimental music for me. I can get so lost in that sort of dreamy 'noise', it's like an aural vacation. This has the same effect for me. I love this. Bravo. [ Reply to This ]

timothy! your head was definantley in a weird place on this! very trippy and a lost sound i haven't heard for years. i think i've said that before. placing all those bits and pieces very well though out. very cool. i think i was almost on the verge of a flashback there. great piece! Very good &mdash 01/08/07 - 10:35:52 AM
Really well played and beautifully produced: there's a lot of 'space' around the instruments which gives it a very gentle, acoustic feel. Again, there's that authentic ECM vibe; it could be time to get Manfred Eicher on the phone...! Great sounds in there, too. Favorited and downloaded. [ Reply to This ]
Thanks for that &mdash 01/12/07 - 10:34:31 PM
Man you got me digging out the old Manfred stuff along with a host of other records I can't seam to live w/o.
Red Lanta, Silent Feet,Deer Wan,Bright size life,Solstice etc etc etc...lets never forget sun bear solo stuff,,,there was so much and what ever happened to...?
Thank you for your support. I am greatful for you comments man.
Sharing is what its all about...
Ebehard is soloing as I type...the fretless of fretless sounds Great.
Then Garbaric solos...unbelievable...listening to Towner.

probably not the right forum, but &mdash 01/13/07 - 08:14:34 PM
I love all those guys; they were essential to my formative years as a human being. I saw Ralph Towner play at a small outdoor show in Philadelphia in 1986, and couldn't keep my eyes off his hands: the guy had stubby, thick hands (like a butcher or a stonemason), and yet he could peel off harmonic riffs in the middle of the most tender solos..... Life altering stuff, if you ask me. And, for the record, I really do hear that aesthetic in your music; I am truly looking forward to hearing more of it.

what a great collage of sounds. reminds me of the "close to edge" beginning part of that album. absolutely freakin wonderful electric piano. just warm fuzzies in the tinkling of the rhodes. [ Reply to This ]

The notes are searching. Its like a jazz player looking for that perfect note nice ride, has alot of almost going to explode feel where I think any minute a crasing drum beat and crazy guitar will come out of no where. Then i realize I was'nt waiting for that at all!!! cool song [ Reply to This ]
