Description:
This song was inspired from a radio phone in in which a grandmother had broken off her relationship with her grandson after a heated argument. They had not spoken to each other for 18 months. Neither the grandmother nor grandson wished to heal the situation. This is so sad. I have tried to create a feeling of chaos in the middle of the song as a symbol of what tends to be the situation.

Good message, Stephen &mdash 01/06/07 - 12:43:09 PM
It's so true. Pride keeps people from reconcilliation, and unforgiveness hurts everyone involved. I pray these people stop being stubborn and their relationship is healed. [ Reply to This ]

yes, so very sad... &mdash 01/06/07 - 05:26:10 PM
...life here is over much too quickly to waste it in anger and grudges. Nicely played and sung bro. I don't participate in the voting anymore, but you get high scores in my heart friend.
Be well bro! [ Reply to This ]

what a nice vocal you own, steve. it was a pleasure to hear it unfold. you've got a great delivery full of heart. beautiful piano - would like to hear this mixed with the buzz/hiss zapped, but you've created a delicate mood nonetheless. enjoyed the listen, anne [ Reply to This ]
Thanks Anne! &mdash 01/16/07 - 12:41:05 AM
Thanks for your great comments Anne.
I think the buzzing is probally due to two things (at least). One is that I am using the built in Mic on my imac and the other reason is probably dueto lack of tech knowledge. I do hope to get a better mic eventually. Thanks for the comment on the piano I'm not a keyboard player at all and it is useful to know that it sounds reasonable etc. (I think GB is great for non musicians such as myself).
Thanks again.

The Sentiment is There &mdash 01/12/07 - 09:33:38 AM
You have a nice voice and the sentiment is there as well. I would like to have heard some clarinet or an oboe to represent grandma and trumpet or sax for the grandson. But that's just me.
This is a nice tune. [ Reply to This ]
Hi MT &mdash 01/16/07 - 12:44:27 AM
Thanks for thinking about the trumpet & sax idea, I think I'll have a go at that.
Thanks again
