Yes I use loops (at the moment).

Over the next few weeks I will be getting up to speed with multi-tracking on my Roland X7, so expect the unexpected. There are some fantastically realistic sounds to play around with.

These particular loops are from magix.com, where they have hundred of loop 'packs' that you can mix and match with. The variety of stuff is incredible and most are recorded at the highest quality. (Some in the HipHop genre are suspect but that could be the genre).

I also you a good number of loop sets off of music magazines.

I wish it was longer. Really nice groove and I love the Vox effects. I love the intro and the way you get into the main groove. Good use of key changes. Listening for the third time I really notice and like the filter effects on the synths and really really dig the main synth melody line. It needs to be longer. You could have done a really cool break just about where the song ends with just the Vox then come back with another "verse"

I totally agree about how the mix could sound. I decided on a 'pot-boiler' or snippit, to feel the water. My Trance-genre (or even Techno) knowledge/format is not too good so I didn't know if the format, and how the particular mix sounded with respect to the genre, was useful at all.

I'll certainly revisit the mix as there are lots of possibilities with the mix as you rightly state.

For once, against my usual practice, I had not completed a 'longer version' so will be onto this in the very near future.

I have been lucky (or so it seems) with the loops I have used lately, and I have learned, over the last year or so, how to mix better tracks.
