Description:
Another note-for-note composition. Oh, hang on, I did use one loop (the gliss about halfway through's a loop) but other than that, it's entirely note-for-note. You can tell I've been bored lately, can't you? ;) I'm pleased with the way this one came out, but since I'm still new doing note-for-notes rather than loops, would really appreciate feedback. ;)

very pretty... &mdash 01/09/07 - 05:34:50 PM
...nice work Averil!
My suggestion perhaps, would be to slowly introduce each track at the beginning, to establish the 'atmosphere' of the piece.

Ah yes, should have thought of that. Thanks Alphy! *hugs*

When the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain, And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain, In the shadow of the forest though she may be old and worn, They will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn!

This is very nice! Sounds straight out of a fantasy movie soundtrack! I'm impressed! [ Reply to This ]

Rivendell &mdash 01/09/07 - 07:47:15 PM
At first I thought it was too slow and meditative for elves, and then I remembered Rivendell and it all made sense. Well, I think you did a beautiful job, scoring those orchestral instruments note-by-note. I'm trying to make something worthwhile using the same method, and it's mightily challenging. I enjoyed this, thanks for sharing. [ Reply to This ]
Thanks PV! &mdash 01/09/07 - 07:56:48 PM
Yip, Rivendell was exactly the sort of place I was thinking of!
Yeah, it takes a lot of patience. Good luck, I'll keep an eye open for it.
