Im here (1)
Description:
A short little song that I liked playing on guitar.
I did some work with the midi and keys on this and I even sang some haromy. I messed with the effects on vocals. Im getting used to the all screens in LE. See if you can pick up what instruments are real and which ones are midi!!!

Im here than im there...Im home alone in this house

Really interesting Steve - I'm not going to attempt to guess what's what though! I like the way it switches and comes back, and the playing/vox is good - production-wise it could be cleaner. I'd be dropping the guitar back slightly and maybe making the voice a little louder, but this is good for sure.

After a quick listen... &mdash 01/12/07 - 08:05:48 PM
I think that you've got something here. As jiguma mentioned, there is some room to clean it up a bit (I have the same issue most of the time). Overall, well done.

oh yeah .. &mdash 01/13/07 - 07:32:58 PM
.. this is really good, very dream-like. Firstly a very good job with the vocals- hmm not too sure about the panning from left to right... but, hey you wanted to try things I see .. I'd like a bit more beefing up at when the "here" with harmony comes in - you could try doubling/duplicating and panning a bit - I like the laid back guitars and bass (although it could be tightened up just a bit) .. just a bit more up front vox (and I don't think you need to re-record anything as such to achieve that).

I also like the short break (can't make out what is said there though).. could have a little more empty space before it starts.. could be a bit longer too as could the return back before the vocals come in - using some automation points to gradually bring the volume up as the guitar plays. Same at the start .. the vocals come in too quick. Just some thoughts on arranging this. Keep up the fine work. Oh I like the minimalist tom drum too ... needed nothing more. I'd say real tom drum, bass, guitar. Loop drums at the break midi keys throughout. How did I do?

nice little ditty &mdash 01/17/07 - 08:20:06 PM
I like the elusive quality of the vocals. It's difficult to understand but that's what makes it interesting. Some of my favorite songs on my favorite albums have been the quirky little, in-between songs. This definitley follows suit and is very enjoyable. Thanks for posting!

love the progression, guitar and the bass. fantastic music to listen to at home. the easy of listening yet strong, moody and atmospheric. a very cozy and slightly sad tune to listen to.. very comforting.. the piano section in the middle was very colourful and 60's. thanks v. much for sharing this soulful track!

Cute &mdash 01/25/07 - 10:36:51 PM
That middle section really came as a surprise, and that definitely qualifies as muzak. The beginnig and ending? More like stoner music? Do you remmeber the 60s? Or you don't and that's because you were there? It definitely has a retro vibe. Very nice stuff.

Ah the 60's &mdash 01/26/07 - 07:58:35 AM
I was born in the 60's. I remember the late 60's. But I remember G.I. Joe and matchbox cars. Mom and Dad listened to jazz and blues. But of course I heard a lot of that type music. This song all started out on the guitar riff!!! I just liked it.
